It’s totally disappointing though. There isn’t even a cut scene. :(

  1. The only way to win is to not play.

  2. It isn’t the ‘real’ ending, that’s why ! You have to complete once again the whole thing under a sociopathic profile to access the final cut scene.

  3. My profile was at 100% and then they went and added a bunch of Facebooky-type stuff and I got bumped back to 85%. Boo to that, I say. It’s like the swimming instructor you can see backing away as you swim towards them, to get you to come out a bit deeper into the pool. Always out of reach :(

Also, it is slightly disappointing to me that LinedIn now has “Jake is… [washing his hair]” style messages, and the 100% cribbed from Facebook news feed homepage and stuff. I don’t really give a crap about little blurbs about what people I have an interest in networking with are doing at this very moment. The whole appeal of LinkedIn to me is that it is this sort of very slow burning service which you can build up over time and then use when you really have a need — it’s not a crazy social destination like MySpace or Facebook. I guess for some people, these features are going to be a benefit and reason for excitement, but for me they are diluting the site. Damn that new 15%. “Post a picture.”

  4. The ‘what are you doing now’ stuff has some utility if you want people to know what professional projects you are actually working on, but yeah on the whole I agree with you. LinkedIn isn’t supposed to be a destination site, it’s supposed to be a tool. They should dedicate their resources to integrating LinkedIn with other stuff so that it can be your uber address book for all work-related contacts instead of trying to get people to use it as a homepage, which most people won’t.

Also I’m sorry they nerfed your progress Jake. :(

  5. I’m becoming a curmudgeonly old man.

  6. I’m stuck at 90% because I can only get 1 person to recommend me :’(

But I agree with Jake, linkedin is better without the “hip” stuff
